The Economy has entered a correction.

Pick your piece of rhetoric. They’re all the same. They’ll either deny it’s happening or they’ll blame it on the liberals.

Well, I don’t think we’re in a recession yet so you can’t tell. There sure will be a ton of spin though given the election year!
Recession is a dumb word for depression & neither of the two is ever a good thing in America’s eye’s
first there has to be a recession. Seven years of talking down the economy, an attack killing 3000 in a day, war on two fronts, Katrina and the rebuild. Son if we were going to go into recession don’t you think it might be justified? Though through all of this our economy keeps rolling right along. Don’t you get tired of being the false voice of economic doom?
Wait for the next Presidential address. Bush will tell you for the umpteenth time that the war is going well, job growth is at an all time high, he has a tax cut that is going to recover the entire debt in 5 years, home sales are booming but spy on your neighbor, if they disagree with the Bush administration, call the CIA immediately. (And they want another President just like him.) A recession will only send our already failing economy into a depression. The best remedy for all of this is to put Bush and Cheney and all their staff in Guantanamo.
It is a normal economic adjustment, part of a normal business cycle. The best cure is to leave it alone, the free market will self correct. We only have to worry if we elect a Democrat, they will tamper with the natural business order, raise taxes on business and plunge our country into another Great Depression!
I don’t think Democrats could ever out smart these guys ,because you can not reason with crazy people and we always underestimate just how low they will go. I know they will think of away to spin it. I have no doubt.
You will most likely see two responses. The first is the one you mentioned: spin. I’m not sure how they will do it but I like a lot of the answers here. The other way is to blame it all on Clinton. If you’ve been paying attention you will notice that some have already started it. You have to give them a little credit for not believing the economy is wildly successful but you can’t really expect them to accept responsibility now can you.
